Cassi is a Certified Georgia Educator who believes in the preservation of childhood. She is a graduate of Georgia State University with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with an ESOL endorsement. She is also a recent graduate of Kennesaw State University with a master's degree in Educational Leadership. She has dedicated over half of her life to working with children. She has been formally trained in IMSE Orton Gillingham, R.E.A.P. and Eureka Math. She has also attended training with the Alliance Theatre, South Carolina American Montessori Society, and various nature-based education trainings. She holds the Facilitator Certification for Project WET, Project WILD, and Project Learning Tree through the state of Georgia. She has been on the leadership team for Tucker Recreation Summer camp for the past 4 years and was recently promoted to Camp Director. Recently, she has worked closely with the employees at City Hall by incorporating Mindfulness Mondays and encouraging relationship building and staff morale. She is also very active in her local Sabbatarian church group in a multitude of ways ranging from Sabbath school, Sleepaway camp, and as a Program Leader for the young children’s program during the Feast of Tabernacles for the Common Faith Network for many years.
Outside of school she enjoys going on adventures with her husband and their two children, spending time with extended family, watching live music, caring for her chickens and goat, practicing yoga, gardening, and cooking.
